Saturday Senses

I’ve been inspired by Pink of Perfection’s Five Sense Friday to start a new tradition at Teacher Goes Back to School: Saturday Senses!

tasting :: Sugar Plum Vegan’s tasty bites

hearing :: the voices of my students offering their condolences

smelling :: the delicious scent of organic coconut oil {directly applied inside my nostrils for some amazing allergy relief}

seeing :: friends, friends, friends.

feeling :: still sad, but oh-so-loved-and-supported

What are your senses this Saturday?

  1. I have coconut oil – and am intrigued by this nose/allergy idea. I might try it.

    Sending lots of hugs and love for the loss of your kitty. I can imagine what it would be like to lose a pet, and even in my imagination, it is very very hard.

    Poor Ian. (I have heard that it helps if they can see the pet and sort of figure out what’s happened?)

    • @elizabeth – coconut oil is so delish in the nose. sounds weird, but really does provide some much needed nostril love.

      thanks for the hugs. things are starting to get back to “normal” around here. still missing matt like crazy, but the other pets are less crazed. the weird part is ian was laying only a few feet from matt and watch jed pack him up to the vet. maybe he thought he was sleeping??? in any case, he’s not searching anymore. sweet kitten.
