Saturday Senses

tasting ::  the fruits of my labor.

hearing ::  “teacher, i had a great day today!”

smelling ::  chocolate chips cookies served after our YogaNap.

seeing :: teachers taking the time to care for themselves: heidi, alicia, alice, and michelle – thank you for coming to class!

feeling ::  grateful. the yoga blogger community has come out in force on how yoga isn’t all f#*king sunshine and rainbows.  yisforyogini and svasti posted their thoughts. check them out.

plus teacher takes a year off’s post about teacher self-care started my week. <3

wishing/hoping :: we all find some time and space to take care of ourselves.

What are your senses this Saturday?  Looking back, how was your week?

Leave me a comment to tell me made your week memorable.   {comments are inspired by Havi at The Fluent Self – Friday Chicken – go see for yourself. it’s like free therapy! }

This weekly tradition was inspired by Pink of Perfection’s Five Sense Friday

  1. Tasting – hot sweet Celtic breakfast tea
    Hearing – “Crazy Man Michael” Natalie Merchant version
    Smelling – Rain
    Seeing – wild pink puppy tongue and floppy puppy ears as Ginny gallops by the alfalfa field
    Feeling – glue on my fingers, a tad bit hungover from one too many gin and tonics, and grateful for my pillow

    • @elizabeth: if you are ever in sacto, please come to class! resting for an hour (or longer) follwed by milk + cookies is pretty damn divine.
