1. Driving home yesterday, I heard this song. The first few beats I couldn’t tell if it was this or that Vanilla Ice song. You know, that one.
2. So after singing along (loudly and quite badly) I decided this would make a perfect song of the day because this is how I’ve felt lately and how my poor little students will feel the next 2 weeks as we undergo high stakes testing.
3. In other news, Freddy Mercury makes being a rock star look ridiculously fun. Maybe that’s what I should be when I grow up.

ahh this is one of my favorite songs of all time. And yes, I also do a double take each time I hear the opening…but I don’t really mind which song it ends up being. :)
@angeline: in all honesty, i don’t mind which it ends up being either. my issue is the denial for so long that there was a similarity. that silly vanilla ice song has a serious place in my history. ….
the best part of picking this song for me was going through the whole queen catalog on you tube and wishing i was freddy mercury. dude knew how to be a rock star.
