Saturday Senses

A way to capture the spirit of each week…

{via}

tasting :: dinner at dopo.

hearing ::  OUR TRAVEL DATE to pick up the rubes!

smelling :: fresh paint.

seeing :: the return of my sanity. strangely coinciding with the return of my furniture to the rooms it lives in.

feeling ::  elated!

and yet strangely calm.

sometimes.

hold me.

i may need more 30 minute supported savasanas.

wishing/hoping :: all my teacher friends  a wonderful return to work and for the nesting process to be kinder than the tiny renovation process was.

What about you?

What are your senses this Saturday?

Looking back, how was your week?

Leave a comment and tell me all about it. I’d seriously love to hear about your week. Now’s not the time to be shy.

  1. LOVE the 30 minute savasanas.

    Regulation of the environment is so crucial to internal regulation. I am so glad to hear you’re having moments of calm. Every time I think of Ruby’s home getting nested up I smile. :)

    • mads: the 30 minute savasana is the extreme sport version of savasana. can you make it? can you let go enough to not run screaming from the room? can you not fall asleep or need to go to the nervous hospital at the end?

      can’t wait for you to see the nest. hers is so, so, so cute.

      xo

  2. Feeling: tired – work takes alot of energy. I am exhausted when I get home

    Seeing: my kids go off to school. 2nd and Jr. High. Where has the time gone. They were just babies yesterday.

    Smelling:

    Tasting: great paella at dinner last night.

    Hearing: the great news that Tami and Jed finally have there travel date. Whoop!!

    Hoping/wishing: that the school year goes quickly, but my family time goes slowly.
