A way to capture the spirit of each week…

tasting :: biscotti from vanessa and a new freedom in the form of ruby sleeping in the car.
hearing :: the amazing classic rock play list in the weight room: wings, bon jovi, styx…
smelling :: magpie at lunchtime.
seeing :: ruby’s teeth breaking through and her amazing squinchy face {see above}.
feeling :: supported. thanks for all the comments on the co-sleeping post.
wishing/hoping :: to enjoy the last few days of jed’s parental leave.
What about you?
What are your senses this Saturday?
Looking back, how was your week?
Leave a comment and tell me all about it. I’d seriously love to hear about your week. Now’s not the time to be shy.
This weekly tradition inspired by Pink of Perfection’s Five Sense Friday.

What a treat to run into you today! Here’s my sensory experience:
tasting :: multiseed sourdough toast with marmalade.
hearing :: just the hum of the computer. ah, blessed silence.
smelling :: the remnants of kate’s lotion from my massage. :D
seeing :: myself, everywhere i go.
feeling :: grateful for the slowness of today, and like haunted by last night’s dreams.
wishing/hoping :: to let go let go let go and open the floodgates of creativity.
kel: thank you for sharing your senses. i find this weekly exercise helps with my creativity and works as a journal too. bonus!
A way to capture the spirit of each week…
Ok I’ll play :-)
tasting :: odd…I think I’ve lost my sense of taste! I just cram food in my mouth these days. Dang it.
hearing :: Rêve’s wailing, blood-curdling cries for 2 hours straight from his first round of immunizations. And the sound of my quiet sobs as we cry together :-(
smelling :: more of Luna’s dog farts from the loaf of $6 Dave’s Killer bread that she stole off the counter. Again.
seeing :: the glorious green glow of the digital clock, happily notifying me that Rêve slept 5 hours straight! Yes!!
feeling :: mortally sleep-deprived. And grateful for my husband that he’s finally hiring me a night nurse for a night, and offered to do some 4am feedings.
wishing/hoping :: to be a present, patient, calm mother and wife.
@keryn: thank you for playing along! i think the taste thing comes back when the sleep happens. at least that’s how it worked for me. it’s hard to taste your food when shoveling and wanting to snore is happening.
poor baby reve. poor mama. i hope that the next round is better.
pets – sigh. i feel bad for mine. they used to feature so highly in our lives and now not so much.
sweet, sweet dreams mama! xo
