Saturday Senses

A way to capture the spirit of each week…

{4th of july teething smile – photo source – me}

tasting :: orzo with earth balance and ginger tea – ugh, tummy troubles.

hearing :: the delicate whines of my teething baby – the canines are coming! the canines are coming!

smelling :: fireworks.

seeing :: so many lovely faces from the past and little vampire teeth poking through the gums.

feeling ::  oogly and tired – teething is hard for the whole family.

wishing/hoping :: for little girl’s teeth to come in and for her to return to a dry shirt and easy breezy spirit.

What about you?

What are your senses this Saturday?

Looking back, how was your week?

Leave a comment and tell me all about it. I’d seriously love to hear about your week. Now’s not the time to be shy.

  1. oh, that is one sweet picture of Ruby girl. So sorry about the teething though; yes, it is indeed hard on everyone. Hope it is about over. As for me, one of the best things I tasted this week was a Fourth of July meal with the neighbors. We made a low country shrimp boil (this is such a ridiculously yummy Southern meal) and this tacky dessert of ice cream bars, chocolate syrup, whip cream, and crushed butterfingers (low brow, yes, but it is yum and part of the tradition now) and then our neighbors made this insane salad of greens, sliced avocados, sliced peaches, and sliced oranges with hunks of goat cheese in ginger dressing. YUM! Happy new week to you!

  2. I tasted a lot of ice cream this week, probably more than my share.

    I heard a lot of grumbling this week from the husband and myself as our car was the victim of a hit & run and the dog had to be rushed to the vet for maybe swallowing a battery…

    I smelled sweet, sweet victory as I conquered a DIY project. Ok, well almost victory. I have yet to hang it but I know it will work when I finish it this weekend.

    I saw a lot of fireworks on the fourth as we traveled around Sactown with our eyes glued to the sky.

    I feel sad and angry and helpless with my mother and sister.

    All, in all, not a bad week.
