tasting- Sweet and savory Algerian pastries, butter-logged croissants, harissa with a distinct salty fire, and amazing vegan mushroom pâté. God, Paris is delicious.
hearing- Cars driving on the rain-slicked streets of Paris, even from eight stories up.
smelling- The distinct scents of the Paris Métro, some of which are comforting and some of which are offensive but all of which remind me that I’m in one of my favorite cities in the world.
seeing- My favorite monument in all the world, La Colonne de Juillet, from the west-facing window of the apartment rental.

feeling- Jet lag resulting in persistent hunger.
wishing/hoping- For a return to Paris sooner than later.
V: vegan mushroom pate? Oh my! Jet lag bites, but is totally worth it. Ps I want to go to Paris with you. Clearly you know what is up. Welcome home!
Thanks! On a non-dairy tip, I was vegan the first time I ever went to Paris and had a most delicious visit, so when we go, you will be able to enjoy a lot of non-dairy amazingness. Now to figure out how they made that mushroom pâté!
