Saturday Senses

Saturday Senses is a way to capture the spirit of each week.

Sad Panda: Ian

tasting ::  bourbon and ginger ale {summer break is a beautiful thing}

hearing :: old favorite records road trip sing-a-long style {what are your favorite sing-a-long albums?}

smelling :: burt’s bees naturally nourishing milk and honey body lotion

seeing :: dear friends from junior high and high school. {el sob #1}

feeling :: a bit melancholy. I miss Matt and Ian has been really needy this week. Poor kitty.

What are your senses this Saturday?  Looking back, how was your week?

Leave me a comment to tell me made your week memorable.

This weekly tradition was inspired by Pink of Perfection’s Five Sense Friday.

  1. tasting :: halibut with asiago/garlic topping, turmeric rice w/ cranberries, broccoli w/ sharp cheddar cheese sauce, caesar salad, olive bread, cheese enchiladas and a delicious chardonnay – bday dinner for me and Tracy at my dad’s in Carmel.

    hearing :: Green Day’s American Idiot, as I drove my family to Carmel – one of my fave sing-along albums. Others include Ryan Adams’ Gold, Wilco’s A Ghost is Born, and Counting Crows VH1 Storytellers; I also have favorite whistle-along albums – the Amadeus soundtrack and most of George Winston’s music. :) And to invoke a particularly tropical feel, Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Masters.

    smelling :: The ocean air and kelp.

    seeing :: My daughter and her cousin playing together!

    feeling :: Short on time, but knowing in the end it always works out.
