Saturday Senses

Saturday Senses is a way to capture the spirit of each week.

tasting ::  plain h2o. it’s quite refreshing. i clearly haven’t been drinking enough lately and this week, i’ve been making up for it.

hearing ::  teacher talk! training, training, training – gearing up for school next week.

smelling ::  many delicious meals cooked for me by others this week.

-thanks t & j!

seeing ::   my wonderful co-workers for the first time all summer. love them. they make going to work less work-like. <3

feeling ::  better every day.  my injury is healing and i’m getting used to my new accessories.

wishing/hoping ::  wishing my mom has a speedy recovery from her unexpected surgery. also hoping we all recommit to self-care. for reals.

What are your senses this Saturday?  Looking back, how was your week?

Leave me a comment to tell me made your week memorable.

This weekly tradition was inspired by Pink of Perfection’s Five Sense Friday

  1. wishing/hoping = hope your mom feels better too. hope we all do that too.

glad you’re feeling better, so great to see you yesterday.

    xoxo

    • @blogasana: thanks for the mom wishes. dude, no bueno. self-care is the real deal.

great to see you too. the leg has been really sore. i think i over did it this week. i think it’s really going to be 2 weeks. yesterday was 1 week. time sure does slow down when you’re injured.

  2. tasting: toasted whole wheat sourdough bread spread with soft goat cheese and topped with fresh peaches

hearing: wait, wait…don’t tell me! it’s the audio highlight of every week.

smelling: jerk chicken or oxtail stew or callaloo being cooked at the jamaican restaurant downstairs. i can never tell which.

seeing: a sea of boxes, packing tape, bubble wrap, clothes, dishes, and an embarrassing acculmulation of junk i need to get rid of.

feeling: like i need time to simultaneously slow down and speed up.

    • @v3: your tasting just became a new breakfast treat for me. sounds delish!
i have the biggest audio crush on peter sagal. did you read his book about vice?
it would drive me nutty to live above constant smells. i am very influenced by my nose, so it would be trouble.
      moving sucks. nothing else needed.
ah yes, the slow down to speed up. i’m learning it is possible and benefical.
      can’t wait to see you!
