Saturday Senses

A way to capture the spirit of each week…

tasting :: amanda’s fabulous black bean soup {have you heard about  meal train yet? brilliant.}

hearing ::  baby clap along to momma’s favorite music. {this week: hillbilly deluxe and grievous angel}.

smelling :: pumpkin bread baking.

seeing :: how one night of lost sleep really tears up my brain. i’m so glad i was too tired to post.

feeling ::  a bit lonely if i’m being honest. i absolutely love always being with my favorite girl, but i’ve been missing my friends lately.

wishing/hoping :: for more moments of adult time.

What about you?

What are your senses this Saturday?

Looking back, how was your week?

Leave a comment and tell me all about it. I’d seriously love to hear about your week. Now’s not the time to be shy.

  1. tasting: too much butternut squash because these children apparently don’t like it.

    hearing: i broke down and went back to listening to terrible dance music while working out at the gym. i have to admit, rihanna makes rowing on a machine just a little more fun.

    smelling: apple cider vinegar replacing my store-bought hair conditioner.

    feeling: a little sense of dread as todd is going to chicago for four days next week, just when i’m hitting the height of PMS.

    wishing: to keep the big picture in mind. it’s all going fast!

  2. I just did this on my blog– inspired by you! And I am hoping to get the pumpkin bread smell in my house today! Isn’t it so fun to play music you love and have your child dig it? And black beans might very well be my favorite food. Wish I was there to be some of your adult company! Thanks for this update!
