Saturday Senses

A way to capture the spirit of each week…

not being lazy

tasting ::     green smoothies, brown rice pasta with creamy vegan garlic sauce, roasted broccoli and brussels sprouts with pancetta.

hearing ::   another person i know from school passed away. so, so, sad.

smelling ::  post rain fresh air.

seeing ::   how yoga is helping me be a calmer, more present, happier parent. {currently reading buddhism for mothers}

feeling :: much lighter. i cut off all my hair.

wishing/hoping ::  for peace for all the families who have recently lost their men.

What about you?

What are your senses this Saturday?

Looking back, how was your week?

Leave a comment and tell me all about it. I’d seriously love to hear about your week. Now’s not the time to be shy.

  1. Hi Tammy!

    tasting :: Vegetarian Pho and clean water.

    hearing :: My cat purring.

    smelling :: Vegetarian Pho…mmmmmm.

    seeing :: The trees outside my bedroom window, the sky.

    feeling :: Really good after Carrie’s yoga class, a long afternoon NAP and that Pho!

    wishing/hoping :: For my son to find his way to a life that fulfills him and makes him happy to wake up in the morning…when he is all grown up and on his own someday. And I hope for a smooth transition from our home to college to “real life.”

  2. tasting :: peach yogurt and coffee for breakfast. Looking forward to kale and avocado salad for supper.

    hearing :: my ancient dog panting and my cat whining to be held. My husband’s even breathing as he does tai chi.

    smelling :: not much, my head is stuffy this morning.

    seeing :: a big drop of rainbow on the living room wall from a prism in the kitchen window

    feeling :: hesitant about yoga class this morning. I dug out a potato patch yesterday and I think my down dogs may be a little shaky this morning. Pleased about the potato patch being done, though.

    wishing/hoping :: for peace for all the families who have recently lost their men.
