A way to capture the spirit of each week…
tasting :: dairy free chocolate chip bars, greek salad with sheep feta, creamy vegan pasta, green smoothies, vegan pizza on cornmeal crust, polenta with spicy italian sausage and puttanesca sauce, blueberry iced tea and cinnamon date manna bread.
hearing :: so many good ideas coming together on a future project i can hardly wait to tell you about.
smelling :: sugar cookies baking. ruby got a visit from v3 this week and they made cookies.
seeing :: lots of bloody noses. we’re thinking the heat/no humidity is the cause.
feeling :: wildly optimistic about my future teaching opportunities, understood by my people and excited we got our minnesota plane tickets. also a bit delicate.
wishing/hoping :: for lots of focus on what is important and a little less intensity/emotional fallout from my new round of emdr.
What about you?
What are your senses this Saturday?
Looking back, how was your week?
Leave a comment and tell me all about it. I’d seriously love to hear about your week. Now’s not the time to be shy.

Tasting: less mayonnaise does not mean more mustard, deli person! remembering yesterdays DELICIOUS cupcake from Pushkins Bakery & how sweet the owners are. xo
Hearing: a lot of silence from people I wish would answer back on-line. Hm…(let go, let go, let go), but also birds in the yard, & Pandora playing Culture Club *smirk*
Smelling: not much. Reaches for Kleenex, *achoo* #pollen
Feeling: I have a case of the “mean reds” have been very sad, depressed, can’t seem to grab solice, comfort or connection. *tries breathing*
Hoping: for some much needed courage, change, perhaps some help, focus & income flow! Afraid, that last one is much needed.
What I’m taking: moments, as many as I can conjure up of very small joys/calms in the garden, a pretty bird, with the dogs, any peace, any determination, an errand completed, a cross-off on the list, something cleaned, picked up, a bill paid, a flower blossoming, a quiet moment of letting go, emptiness.
This was a good exercise. thank you, d xo
dahlia: pushkins has such good stuff! love having somewhere in the neighborhood i can pick up a treat.
internet silence: gulp. hate that!
i’m looking forward to pollen season coming to a close. i am soooooo allergic to sacramento.
mean reds: i haven’t heard this before, but i sure have felt it before. hope it passes and you get some comfort soon.
thank you for sharing!
Tasting a lot of really good and refreshing, new to me brand name, root beers on a warm sunny day.
Hearing how well my mother-in-law did after her knee surgery…walking around, taking stairs the day after she replaced her knee…amazing!
Smelling and seeing my first vegetable garden grow is very satisfying and proud.
Feeling (still) so very sad, especially as Mother’s Day and my mothers birthday approaches.
Wishing and hoping my new business is successful as it officially launches next week.
keri:
root beer = delicious in my book! please send recommendations.
knee surgery recovery is amazing. a friend just had a little one recently and she’s back. so fast!
growing your own food (ok, my husband does it) does feel like a huge accomplishment. i just have to make sure we cook and eat it all.
being sad when there is reason to feel sad sucks, but temporary. it’s so hard to remember that when it is happening. big hugs on the mom front, friend.
congrats on the business! i looked at your site and it looks great!
