Saturday Senses

A way to capture the spirit of each week…

stress you out

tasting ::   vegan chilled peanut noodles, homemade hummus a la kris carr,  stone fruit + blueberries in vanilla coconut yogurt with raw chia seeds, vanilla soy ice cream with salted peanuts + chocolate chips, fried chicken at rockabilly night at the zoo, dilly egg salad on sourdough.

hearing ::  a new teacher friend offer some serious encouragement about the healthy, happy, sane teacher program, nickelslots at the zoo, and happy baby shrieks in the pool most every night this week.

smelling ::  sunshine and awesomeness. this is what ruby’s cheek/neck/ear/hair smells like after playing at the park.

seeing ::   my tongue get tied in knots in a big group of strangers and my girl’s face light up at the mere mention of a swimming pool. she totally got this from me.

feeling ::  like i am doing exactly what i’ve be set on the planet to do.

wishing/hoping ::  follow through, motivation and enthusiasm continue to hitch themselves to my wagon.

What about you?

What are your senses this Saturday?

Looking back, how was your week?

Leave a comment and tell me all about it. I’d seriously love to hear about your week. Now’s not the time to be shy.

  1. Peanut noodles! Now I want some.

Tasting: Blueberry pie. I am still trying to find one that is as good as my mother’s.

Smelling: I’m with you – sunshine.

Hearing: Birdsong through the windows in the morning. Also lawn equipment. I prefer the former.

Seeing: Lots and lots of photos. I need to learn to tag because I am constantly scrolling through tens of thousands of photos to find the one I am looking for.

I love thinking about things through the senses. Thank you for this.

p.s. I love the sound of the Healthy Happy Sane Teacher – wishing you much success!
